While many designers loathe production work, I understand that it is necessary to bring the finished project to life and I enjoy it! Production projects are puzzles to put together, wether they be pixel-perfect web files in Photoshop, fully styled documents in InDesign, complex vector artwork in Illustrator or advanced art separations for screen printing.
Digital Production & Planning
Though I would not call myself a developer, I understand how code works and design accordingly. I will never build a web design concept that is impossible to code in real life. I enjoy the planning stages of building a website and relish the opportunity to create a logical, effective wireframe plan. The creative aspect is not to be underestimated, but neither is the planning and production phase. When I build a file for developers (or myself) I ensure that it is pixel-perfect, conforms to all web best practices and represent exactly as the site will appear when live. Every file I create is meticulously organized, structured and clearly labeled to ensure the smoothest possible transition from design to development phase.
Pre-Press Print Production
I am an expert for print production with a wide range of experience in creating fool-proof art files for apparel printing, print publications, out of home campaigns, point of sale collateral and just about anything else you can think of. From t-shirts to magazines to billboards and bus shelters, I am adept at taking a set of specifications and preparing and fine-tuning graphics to suit any application. I excel at the organizational process and attention to detail that is essential to produce quality print materials. With print there is no going back once the material is produced and you can count on me to ensure that all the colors, bleeds, graphics and vectors are all in place to ensure a quality final result.
As part of the Brigade team I worked to transform a handful of designs into hundreds of billboards, bus shelters, vehicle wraps and other outdoor applications. We were tasked with manipulating the art files to suit an enormous variety of vendor specifications and differing sizes for a wide variety of applications.

Screen Printing Art Separation
Separating artwork and preparing files for screen printing is a personal passion of mine. I worked for many years as the in-house designer for a small screen printing shop and became a master of creating separations from vector and raster art. I know how screen printing works every step of the process and I am very skilled at designing to the limitations of the medium, as well as preparing artwork to adjust to these specifications to achieve the perfect print. I do it all, from simple to complex vector spot artwork to four color process to advanced simulated process jobs and everywhere in between. I know when and how to use the appropriate technique and how to combine all these techniques to create the best, most reliable art for screen printing.
Photo Retouching & Processing
For the following projects I have assisted in planning, preparing and executing the photo shoot, as well as retouching the images and manipulating them for the final display. I know how to achieve all kinds of effects, from color adjustment, background effects, removal of unwanted objects and aesthetic removal of blemishes, etc.
